Individual Total Sorbed Metal Analysis

• This is EPA Method 3050 B to determine the elements that could become “environmentally available” (total sorbed)
• Used to develop sound compost/manure management programs to monitor compost/manure for elevated levels of toxic heavy metals that are primarily found in populated areas and are usually the result of industry or other human activity
• Elevated or toxic levels of lead and arsenic can also be found in compost/manure where pesticides were used.
